Pour the syrup into the tall Macchiato glass.
Froth the milk in the jug. Carefully pour the warm, frothed milk over the syrup. Tip: pour it slowly along the edge of the glass, as this will keep the milk and the syrup separate.
Prepare an espresso, crumbling some pieces of Speculoos in it, then pour it over the frothed milk. Tip: wait 10 seconds before adding the espresso to the frothed milk. This will help keep the two separate and create the distinct layers shown on the picture.
